We Had Only Just Begun.

I saw Her amidst the rows,

Tilled earth, bright green

Apron dusted with black dirt.

She didn’t see Me looking,

Old thoughts, life lived

With warmest Love and Kindness.

Our lives had been beautiful,

Quests not ended,

She held my hand eternal.

A thousand lives had passed by,

Our Love remains,

Untouched by wrinkles or pain.

Her, there, this fragile moment,

Reminded me,

Of the priceless thing I’d won.

Rolling hills of Montana,

Brought me present.

From where did these thoughts arise?

We had only just begun.
