Sand and Ages

A short life,

but epochs passed

within the hourglass,

sand amassed

and built a castle…

not built to last,

through the epochs as they passed.

We are made of Sand and Ages,

Within us, Time, storming, rages

But heed those ancient Sages,

Your epochs, Empires,

not built to last.

Let them fade into the past.

An Age anew,

You, renewed,

Do not forget,

Turn the hourglass,

too.
