To Liar’s Gold

Put the gold in my casket.

They are Rotten,

Misbegotten,

And Misguided.

They plod the Road

To Liar’s Gold,

Greedy, Frightened.

Rotten and wrong,

Though feeling strong,

Their world? Blighted.

But, in The End,

“A Win’s a Win,”

They: “Despite it.”
