The Wind Will Die

In this dance, each step requires delicate placement. Don't step outside the eye, lest you be swept away.

Here we are… twisting.
Torrential rain,
acid-burn, resist
the agony, the pain.

Dance in the Eye,
Rain-washed tears,
hidden, thirsty-sighs,
parched from fear.

The wind will die
and show the shards
of our shattered lives,
both twisting windward.
