Morning Epiphany

Confidently
descending to
his writing room,
to write of
women in
full bloom.
Certain of the want
for  an objective thought
about the noxious
state of affairs.
“Her {insert adjective}…,”
he began, but mentally
pausing within,
he wondered how
this was helping.

Was it the same as,

“You should smile more.”

or

“Why so serious?”

Confused and delirious,
he realized
that he was
writing it wrong.
A writer shouldn’t write
about what he doesn’t
fully understand,
without qualifying
his deep-rooted lack

of mental depth.

While well-intentioned,
his wordly mentions,
were not something
that ever really
helped

at all.
