To Lavender’s Gifts

Originally posted in May, 2017. This is one of my favorites, as it’s light and cheerful.

The breeze will lift you

to Lavender’s gifts.

The Bees? Admit Two,

those pollen spendthrifts.

Peace be upon you;

go steady, mend rifts.

Gentle breeze blows through

memories. It sifts

burrs and thorns into

garden corners. Shift

direction. North. True.

Lavender’s breeze drifts;

It swaddles to soothe.
