We Twirled Delirious

There was a time
when we held hands
and twirled delirious,
spinning our yarn,
our tapestry,
whole-cloth, between us.

What happened to the dance?
Did we tire too quickly?

Once the beads of sweat dried,
we’d deciphered the mystery,
and collapsed, so tired.

There must be a billows
to rekindle the embers.
Let’s spin old yarns
and seek to remember

what the tapestry said
with its weave and images.
