Trains and Puppets

When I was
a child, I loved
trains, puppets,
and adventures
in kingdoms
with benevolent ways.

I loved kindness
and caring.
I loved slippers
and sweaters.
I loved learning
to be better.

But, where are those things?

Not here. There?
We’ve misplaced them…
Ask the neighbors,

“Where has Mister Rogers gone?”
