White and Red

White and red

checkered, spread

cloth, bread,

wine, the grapes,

I fed you, by tossing

toward your head.

We laughed

and played,

that beautiful day,

sipping our wine

as the Sun

crept away

beneath the trees,

as wild and green,

as the growing

seeds, planted

by you,

inside

of me.

  1. LOVE that you toss the grapes toward her head: playfully lol perfect. Love that the lightheartedness turns so beautiful with the growing seeds at the end and structurally how you draw this out. This one touched me deeply.
