Two Eagles Are Flying

This mountain high,
the aerie side,
I leap into the sighs
of the wind, flying.

Failing, but trying,
to make truth from lying
to my self, to you, why
do I soar higher, crying,
raging, denying?

Wings beat in time
with panic and sly
deceptions, from inside
my eagle’s mind.

Its prey drive,
like an arrow diving,
prey on me, pray for my
satiety, while I,
upon my shadow, dine.

Eagle claws, talon-tines,
draw the letters, scrying,
Shadow Black or Nature’s Child,
two Eagles are flying.
