Welcome

Thank you so much for stopping in!

This is a personal blog dedicated to expressing my artistic interests. While it’s mainly poetry, you may stumble upon some random (incomplete) prose, photography, illustration, and a few digital art experiments.

Writing is the most therapeutic thing I’ve ever done. Poetry, in particular, is a powerful way to express abstract thoughts and feelings. Furthermore, I can say things ‘out loud,’ via poetry, that I would never say out loud otherwise. A reader can never be certain what I’m actually writing about, so I have enough plausible deniability to feel comfortable saying almost anything.

When I started out in 2016, I didn’t have a solid idea of what I wanted my blog to be about. Then I discovered my love of poetry. Sure, I had written a few poems in the past. I even wrote some lyrics, but they didn’t represent me, as a person. That all changed in October, 2016, when some previously unknown switch flipped.

In my opinion, there is a very eclectic variety of writing on this blog. Whether it be my stream-of-consciousness poetry, or my dabbling in fantasy prose, I sincerely hope you find something that catches your interest.

The name of my blog was derived from this poem:

You are complete.
Replete with Stars.
No missing space,
No Puzzle Piece.
You, Tapestry.
You, Beautiful.
You, Rhapsody.
You are complete.
Do you feel need?
A need for Love?
Well, here’s the thing:
Love’s little feat,
Its Cosmic Way,
Chooses your Best,
Volume increased,
Played on Repeat.

  1. Really enjoying your space here. My work website (web designer) was just torn to shreds by an evil WordPress Theme company…but as I’m rebuilding you have inspired me to include a more personal and creative blog. Thanks.

    1. Great to hear you’re enjoying it, but I’m sorry about your site. I’m halfway into ‘remodeling” so things probably look rough.

  2. Your website is beautiful and your poetry is just as lovely. It’s inspiring to find such raw and intricate words weaved together so well and so frequently. I hope to one day upload poetry as often as you do. I look forward to reading more of your work and wish you the best!

    Best regards,
    Stormy Headley
